Russia scrambled a Su-30 jet after it detected a U.S. reconnaissance drone over the Black Sea, Russian media reported Saturday, citing the Defense Ministry.

As the Russian jet approached, "the Ripper reconnaissance UAV made a U-turn from the state border of the Russian Federation," the report said, adding the Su-30 returned safely to the home airfield.

The U.S. has not yet commented on it.
