Saudi-hosted talks on the conflict in Ukraine started on Saturday afternoon in Jeddah, according to Saudi official media.
More than 30 countries, excluding Russia, were invited to the talks on Ukraine in Saudi Arabia's resort city of Jeddah.
At the invitation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui is leading a delegation to the two-day meeting.
"China stands ready to work with the international community to continue to play a constructive role in seeking a political settlement to the Ukraine crisis," the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
