Serbian health minister calls for assessment of nuclear wastewater long-term impact
01:45

Since Japanese government and Tokyo Electric Power Company decided to discharge more than 1.3 million tonnes of Fukushima nuclear contaminated water into the sea, opposition voices could be heard from all walks of life across various countries.

"It was previously said that the nuclear wastewater had been treated up to the standard, I think such judgments are premature," said Serbian Minister of Health Dr. Danica Grujicic. "I fully support China's attitude, and I don't speak out for the sake of suffering from it. Because Japan, China, Russia and the Republic of Korea, East Asia, South Asia and even beyond would be affected," added the minister.
