At least 22 people were killed and dozens of others injured after a passenger train derailed in the Sanghar district of Pakistan's southern Sindh province on Sunday, Geo News reported.
The accident took place when 10 coaches of the Hazara Express train derailed after it left the Sarhari Railway Station in the Shahdadpur area of the district, senior superintendent of Sanghar Police Abid Ali Baloch told Xinhua.
The police official added that the death toll might further rise as many of the injured are in critical condition and many passengers had been stuck inside or below the coaches.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
