The Chinese Navy hospital ship, Peace Ark, finished its medical mission in Tonga on Friday and carried out a joint drill with the Tongan Navy. The ship arrived in Tonga's capital Nuku'alofa on July 28 on the Mission Harmony-2023 and provided free medical services for members of the public. The hospital ship also conducted sea-air medical rescue drills with Tonga's patrol boat Ngahu Koula, exercising formation navigation and communication. Since its commission in 2008, Peace Ark has carried out dozens of humanitarian missions, treating over 180,000 patients worldwide.
