China wrap up World Aquatics Diving World Cup Super Final with 8 golds

Chinese athletes finished their trip in the World Aquatics Diving World Cup Super Final in Berlin, Germany, on Sunday, winning gold medals in all of the eight events they participated in.

Yang Hao dominated the men's 10-meter platform competitions with a total score of 537.25 points on Sunday. He began with 407C at the degree of difficulty (DD) of 3.2 and finished the contest with 109C at the DD of 3.7, leading in five of the six dives.

In the women's 3-meter springboard final earlier on Sunday, Chen Yiwen and Chang Yani secured the gold and the bronze in the event. Chen had a very close win over Japan's Sayaka Mikami by 1.55 points.

Chen Yuxi and Quan Hongchan bagged the women's 10-meter platform gold and silver medals for China on Saturday. The two exchanged the lead in the first three rounds before Chen Yuxi topped the competition with 207C at the DD of 3.3 in the fourth dive and then sealed the deal with 5253B at the DD of 3.2 in the final dive.

Before Chen Yuxi and Quan, Wang Zonyuan got the men's 3-meter springboard gold for huge lead of 76.45 points over the runner-up Moritz Wesemann of Germany. Wang Zongyuan led in every of the six dives, slowly but surely, building himself an absolute victory.

Friday was Day One of the World Cup Super Final and it witnessed the birth of four synchronized golds. Yang Hao and Lian Junjie won the men's 10-meter final with 471 points. They booked the win after the first four rounds of competition.

The women's 3-meter synchronized gold went to Chen Yiwen and Chang. The Chinese pair shared the overall leading position with Sarah Bacon and Kassidy Cook of the U.S. only in the first dive before keeping the leadership all by themselves from the second dive until the end of the contest.

Wang Zongyuan and Long Daoyi secured the men's 3-meter synchronized title with 451. 44 points, 56.04 above the silver medalists, Jordan Christopher Houlden and Anthony Harding of Britain.

Before Chen Yuxi and Quan competed against each other in the women's 10-meter platform final on Sunday, they paired to get the first gold for China in the women's 10-meter synchronized final on Friday. None of the judges rated any of their six dives under 8.5 points in the final.
