A herd of more than 30 wild Asian elephants were recently spotted gathering on the brink of a forest near a village in Mengla County of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Yunnan Province.
As the elephants were spotted near a human habitat, local police closely monitored their movement with a drone and dispersed onlookers.
As seen in the drone footage, the elephants were leisurely walking along the brink of a forest with some foraging in the farmland. Meanwhile, some young elephants in the herd engaged in playful fights.
According to the police, the elephants later returned to their habitat in the forest.
