All 36 sluice gates in Tianjin's Duliujian River remain fully open to safely discharge floodwater, with round-the-clock monitoring and enhanced precautions underway to protect the downstream in north China's Tianjin Municipality. The cumulative discharge through the sluice gates has reached an impressive 390 million cubic meters. The dedicated staff at the Duliujian River's sluice gate management department remain vigilant against flooding by intensifying data monitoring and strengthening response measures. The Duliujian River is an artificial flood diversion channel for the Daqing River. It bears significant flood control pressure for Tianjin, as floodwaters from both Baiyangdian Lake and Dongzhulong Reservoir flow through it before discharging into the sea.
