The Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces continue to exchange fire in the capital Khartoum and surrounding areas. Khartoum's health authorities say more than 20 civilians have died, while many others were injured in the clashes. Civilians say it was the fiercest fighting since the conflict began in April. Electricity and communications were cut in the region for several hours.
