Iran has obtained "the technical know-how" to manufacture a supersonic cruise missile which is currently in the test stage, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Wednesday.
The claim came amid growing tensions with the United States in the Gulf in the past weeks after the United States deployed additional military assets to the Strait of Hormuz.
The report said that the new development has greatly enhanced Iran's "response power in case of any military conflict" and to "prevent the invading forces with timely reactions."
