A mandatory evacuation was announced in 37 settlements of the Kupiansk district in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, local news outlet UNIAN reported on Thursday.

Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Synehubov said in a Telegram post on Wednesday that civilians might be evacuated from 53 settlements in the Kupiansk district due to intense shelling.
