Nanchang City in east China's Jiangxi Province is an important city for the Belt and Road Initiative. Stretching over the Ganjiang River, the Bayi Bridge is one of the major bridges in the provincial capital. The bridge was built to commemorate the "August 1 Nanchang Uprising" in 1927 and opened to traffic in 1997, and now it also stands as a testament to the province's economic growth.
