A new large-scale culinary culture exploration show "A Feast of Millennia" premiered on China Media Group (CMG) channels on Friday, taking viewers on a gourmet express.

Simultaneously screened on CCTV-3 and on CMG's online platform, the show's first episode also debuted a smart, mobile kitchen RV dubbed "CMG Gourmet Express."

Hosts and guests started their gourmet journey in Wujiang District of Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, on the shores of Taihu Lake. They jointly explored a famous dish from an ancient book, a bass dish with golden colors.

Their first task is to find a great chef to prepare this ancient dish. Twelve chefs have come together to compete, each showcasing their unique fish-cooking skills.

The cuisines in Suzhou emphasize the ideology of "eating in due season," a natural way to follow the right time to eat seasonal food. The program also delves into the origins of culinary culture, tracing the history and folklore customs behind the food.
