Baji Quan is one of several wushu art styles. Eight extremities (Baji) lie between heaven and earth. It is manifested by "knocking the heaven down with a shoulder-shaking" strike, which extends one's full potential to the eight extremities. That's the origin of Baji – the eight extremities.
Baji Quan involves stretching out. The concept relies on applying one's head, shoulder, elbow, hand, bottom, crotch, knee and foot at once. That's also one of the origins of Baji. It is a kind of "short boxing," focused on fierceness. It explodes from plainness. In terms of skills, explosive captures and hard hits constitute its core concept.
