The Global Bicycle Cities Index focuses on six categories: weather, percentage of bicycle usage, crime and safety of the city, infrastructure, bike sharing and awareness events. Analyzing 90 cities across the world on those criteria, east China's Hangzhou City ranks seventh. One of the main factors behind it is the Chinese government's commitment to modernization. To ensure common prosperity and harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, Chinese modernization has ensured the joint development of material and cultural resources. In fact, building a cycling-friendly city not only encourages residents to reduce carbon emissions, protect the environment and develop a green economy, but also brings joy and happiness for shared enjoyment.
