No Chinese nationals were killed when a convoy was hit by explosions and gunfire in southwest Pakistan's Gwadar on Sunday, according to the Chinese Consulate-General in Karachi.

The Balochistan Liberation Army's Majeed Brigade has claimed responsibility for the attack, and one of their members was killed.

The Chinese Consulate-General in Karachi strongly condemned the act of terrorism and has asked Pakistan to bring the perpetrators to justice and effectively strengthen the safety and security of Chinese nationals, institutions and projects, the spokesperson said in a statement.

The Consulate-General has activated its contingency plan, and reminded Chinese nationals, enterprises, and projects to upgrade security measures and prevent security risks.
