Global expansion drives surge in Chinese electric vehicle exports
Chinese automaker BYD recently marked its five millionth new energy vehicle built. The company says it's the first global automaker to reach this milestone. China's auto export was No. 1 in the world in the first half of this year, driven by electric car sales. With a firm grip on the supply chain, Chinese automakers are able to compete in quality and technology, which are attractive price points. Having already dominated the world's largest auto market at home, leading brands are investing billions in the global EV ecosystem.
