Maui fire survivor recounts terrifying but lucky escape from flames

Claiming the lives of at least 93 people, the hurricane-driven blazes that erupted on August 8 on the Hawaiian island of Maui are the deadliest in the United States for at least 100 years.

The historic town of Lahaina, a popular tourist spot and once the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii, has been devastated.
