Expert: China embraces a national strategy to guide social-economic transition

August 15 marks China's first National Ecology Day, which aims to increase public awareness and action to protect the ecological environment. On the same day, the country also released a Blue Book on the achievements of the ecological protection red lines, which demarcate areas with important ecological functions. Wu Changhua, the vice chair of the Governing Council of Asia Pacific Water Forum, praised China's strategy in guiding the social-economic transition.
