Rescue and relief work has been carried out in east China's Jiangsu Province since August 13 when a deadly tornado hit some of its rural areas.
The tornado, spawned by severe convection weather, swept across several towns in Dafeng District of the province's Yancheng at around 4:15 p.m. Beijing time.
Local authorities said the disaster killed two people, injured 15 others, and damaged 283 rural houses.
