Out in China's wilds: UNDP resident rep's close look at nation's biodiversity
China's rich biodiversity is best experienced up close. CGTN host Tian Wei and UNDP's China Representative, Beate Trankmann, embarked on a journey through the Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province. This region is home to one in every ten terrestrial and aquatic species found in China. Following their immersive encounters with wildlife at the nature reserve, Trankmann described the experience as incredibly powerful. She highlighted that China's dedicated efforts to safeguard biodiversity have yielded remarkable results, showcasing the nation's increasing prowess in protecting valuable ecosystems over the years.
