The 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), which will take place from September 2 to 6 in Beijing, will introduce the frontier technologies and latest achievements in the telecommunications and metaverse, the event organizers announced at a press briefing Wednesday.

Themed "Digital Technology Empowering the Future," one of the featured exhibitions at CIFTIS this year will put the spotlight on the sector of information and communications technology (ICT). The exhibition hall will display technological achievements in artificial general intelligence models and digital avatars, as well as trendy technologies in consumer electronics and innovative solutions for the digital economy.

The exhibition aims to promote international discussion on how digital technology could benefit future life, with Beijing serving as a center for technology communication. More than 20 international enterprises from Europe, South Korea, Brazil and other countries and regions will show up at the ICT exhibition, according to an official from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology who spoke at the press briefing.

C·Space under the Beijing BBEF Electronics Group is hosting a pavilion of exhibitors from Israel, Denmark, France, Japan and other countries, covering products in digital technology, robotics, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, cloud services, big data, network security, energy storage, intelligent manufacturing, engineering materials, integrated circuits and many others.

"The ICT exhibition has prepared a series of scenarios and cases to demonstrate the efforts made by Beijing's information and communication industry in building the city as an exemplar for the global digital economy," said Huang Ping, the deputy director of Beijing Communications Administration.
