Two African wildcats appeared to be involved in a battle as the sun set in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in South Africa. The photos were taken by Dave Cox from UK’s Gloucester.

The 72-year-old said : "Like all wildcats, the mother had probably gone off to hunt, leaving the two kittens to fend for themselves in their den."

"I watched as the pair play fought with each other for a while and then laid down together in the setting sunlight. It was amazing to see them interacting as it’s rare to see more than one, and they usually only become active at night."
