A new report has revealed that China's robot industry is steadily improving, with application scenarios and manufacturing capabilities significantly expanding.

This year's report on China's robot technology and industry development, released on August 17 amid the World Robot Conference 2023 in Beijing, highlighted the product advancement of various robots, including collaborative robots, logistics robots and special robots. It added that some key parts can now be produced domestically.

The report said that the global robot industry keeps growing, and China has become an important driving force for the development of the industry.

The motor and electronic industries remain the two areas where robots are widely applied, and the development of humanoid robots is accelerating, according to the report.

It found that China has accumulated a number of patent achievements in the technical direction of robot modularization and reconstruction, multi-task planning and intelligent control, information perception and navigation.

"The robot industry technology will promote innovative breakthroughs in cross-disciplinary technology integration with application scenarios continuing to expand, and the large language models will serve as the intelligent 'brain' of robots," said Chen Ying, vice chairman and secretary-general of China Institute of Electronics.
