Russia has banned entry for several of Moldova's officials as a tit-for-tat response to Chisinau scaling back the Russian diplomatic mission, RIA reported on Friday, citing Russia's Foreign Ministry.

The Moldovan ambassador was summoned to the ministry on Friday, according to RIA.

Moldova in July ordered 45 Russian diplomats and embassy staff to leave, sharply reducing the number of diplomats Russia can have in its capital Chisinau.
