The Great Wall of China and the Egyptian pyramids are among the most remarkable historical landmarks in the world.
The Great Wall is the longest wall system in the world, initially constructed for military defense purposes. The wall stretches thousands of miles across north China, traversing various terrains and climate zones. The Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) was the last dynasty to extensively repair the Great Wall, and the majority of what people can see today as the Great Wall was constructed during this period.
The Egyptian pyramids are ancient masonry structures located on the Giza Plateau in Egypt, not far from Cairo. These pyramids served as tombs for ancient Egyptian pharaohs and were constructed primarily between the 27th and 22nd centuries BC.
