People in Lahaina criticize government for slow response to wildfire

The surviving residents of Lahaina town on Maui Island criticized the local government for its slow response to the deadly wildfire, which claimed at least 111 lives. Maui County Emergency Management chief Herman Andaya resigned on August 16 after being criticized for the ineffective response to the deadly fires. Thousands of people have been left homeless. And some of the residents feel the authorities were slow to provide aid and shelter for them.
