Ukraine carried out a "terrorist attack" using a drone on a military airfield in Russia's Novgorod region on Saturday morning, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

As a result of the attack, a fire broke out in a parking space for aircraft, which was promptly put out by fire brigades, the ministry added. There were no casualties, it further stated.

There has been no response from Ukraine yet.
