The International Forum on Cave Temple Conservation kicked off in Chongqing on August 19. Over 100 experts joined discussions on various themes including historical sites' protection, archaeology and climate change.

Listed as a World Heritage Site in 1999, the Dazu Rock Carvings are made up of dozens of protected sites containing over 50,000 statues, influenced by Buddhist, Confucian and Taoist beliefs.
