Lake Malawi, also known as Lake Nyasa, is located in the southernmost part of the East African Rift. Not only does Lake Malawi boast stunning scenery, but it also encompasses a variety of landscapes. Some areas are surrounded by high cliffs and crashing waves, while others feature serene grasslands and babbling streams.
In China, there is also a similarly picturesque lake. Qinghai Lake is China's largest inland saltwater lake, situated approximately 150 kilometers away from the Qinghai provincial capital of Xining. Covering an area of more than 4,600 square kilometers, the lake's surface lies at an altitude of about 3,200 meters, with an average depth of 18 meters.
