A wild Asian elephant has used its extraordinary sense of smell to uncover hidden drugs in a backpack in Xishuangbanna, located in China's southwest Yunnan Province. The incident unfolded as local police worked to prevent the elephants from encountering humans after the animals wandered into nearby villages. One of the elephants picked up a backpack in the forest, which when inspected contained illegal drugs.
