South Africa is primed to improve its energy infrastructure, especially that involving renewable sources. China and African countries also enjoy a complementary relationship regarding the production of battery energy storage systems. On the sidelines of this year's BRICS summit in Johannesburg, CGTN's Tian Wei had an exclusive interview with Busi Mabuza, chairperson of the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa. Mabuza explained that cooperation between Africa and China as well as other BRICS countries can promote energy transformation. She also discussed the opportunities arising from China and Africa cooperating on the critical technology of energy storage.
