The BRICS Summit is a summit of five countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The 2023 BRICS Leaders' Summit is being held in Johannesburg, South Africa, from August 22 to 24. The theme of this year's summit is "BRICS and Africa: Partnership for Mutually Accelerated Growth, Sustainable Development and Inclusive Multilateralism."
In this episode, people from this year's host country, South Africa, BRICS member country China, BRICS applicant Argentina, and people from the United States put forward the topics they were most concerned about at this year's BRICS Summit. Among them, a number of residents coincidentally showed a high degree of concern for topics related to ecological and environmental protection.
Nicole from the U.S. believes that this year's BRICS Summit should focus on how to combat climate change while developing. Valentine from South Africa also hopes that the summit could focus more on cleaner resources and renewable energy sources.
