South Africa is hosting the three-day BRICS Summit in Johannesburg this week, with BRICS expansion high on the agenda. South African officials say that more than 20 countries have officially applied to join the BRICS group, with over 40 queuing up to join the bloc. Indonesia is one of the possible candidates for expansion.
Renanthera Roselina from Indonesia believes that joining BRICS can bring more economic benefits to her country and allow member countries to jointly realize their respective potentials by participating more actively in decision-making and policy-making.
