A personal lawyer for former U.S. President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, has turned himself in to authorities in the U.S. state of Georgia. Giuliani, a former mayor of New York City, appeared at an Atlanta jail on Wednesday to face state charges arising from acts he took seeking to overturn the former U.S. president's 2020 election loss. Giuliani is among several people indicted last week, along with Trump and 17 others. They were charged with 13 crimes, including breaking the state's racketeering act and making numerous false statements about election fraud. Trump is expected to surrender on Thursday to face his fourth criminal indictment this year.
