Featuring a total of ten teams from communities across Shanghai, a kite show was held at The Bund in Shanghai to promote the unique culture of making and flying kites. Participants designed and made kites all by themselves. This is the second time that Shanghai held such an exhibition.
Kite, as a popular pastime loved by people in China of all ages, boasts a history of over 2,000 years. With its origins in gathering military intelligence in ancient China, kites are now flown by people for leisure.
