South Korea's main opposition Democratic Party (DP) held a rally on August 25 to protest Japan's discharge of nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean. The DP members commenced a march at around 10:30 local time from the Gwanghwamun Square to the presidential residence, covering roughly 4.8 km. Protesters held up banners and slogans demanding an immediate stop of discharging the Fukushima water into the sea.
