In the spring of 2020, a pair of mute swans came to the Jialu River in Zhengzhou in central China's Henan Province. They built a nest and shortly after welcomed the arrival of seven cygnets. Mute swans are a rarity in Zhengzhou, so many locals volunteered to watch over the visitors, ensuring their stay in the city was safe and comfortable.
