Former U.S. President Donald Trump turned himself in on Thursday to the authorities in Atlanta regarding the Georgia election interference case.
The former president, also inmate number P01135809, according to Fulton County Jail records, had his mugshot taken and was released on a bail of $200,000.
His surrender in Georgia marks the fourth time since March he has turned himself in to local or federal officials after criminal charges were brought against him.
Trump spent only about 20 minutes at the jail before heading back to New Jersey. He is now the first former U.S. president to have a mugshot.

Before boarding his private plane at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport, Trump insisted he "did nothing wrong" and called the case accusing him of subverting election results a "travesty of justice."
He repeated his previous claims that the 2020 presidential election was "rigged" and "stolen."

Trump and 18 others were indicted on August 14 over alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in the state of Georgia.
He was charged with 13 counts, including violating the state's racketeering act, soliciting a public officer to violate his oath, conspiring to impersonate a public officer, conspiring to commit forgery in the first degree, and conspiring to file false documents.
The indictment followed a two-and-a-half-year investigation by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. The probe was launched after audio was leaked from a January 2021 phone call during which Trump urged Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to question the validity of thousands of ballots, especially in the heavily Democratic Atlanta area.
Trump said he wanted to "find" the votes to erase his 2020 loss in the state.
The former president is facing separate federal charges for plotting to overturn the 2020 presidential election and for mishandling classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
