The 2023 BRICS Summit concluded in South Africa on August 24. CGTN Stringer invited a student representative from the Confucius Institute at Durban University of Technology in South Africa, who recently received a letter in reply from President Xi Jinping, to give the views on the summit. Nompilo Mkhulisi said what she liked most about BRICS was that it encouraged greater cooperation among countries and also gave hope to the issues they were facing, such as high unemployment rates.
