Jilin City in Jilin Province, known as the River City of the North, is crossed by the Songhua River. Over the river, there is a single-tower cable-stayed bridge called Linjiangmen Bridge. Construction of the bridge started in April 1992, and was completed in December 1994. In 2016, the bridge was renovated to make it even more eye-catching. Linjiangmen Bridge links the history of the old town at one end and the future of the modern city at the other.
