Rail strike deals blow to UK's weekend getaway services

A massive strike was staged by around 20,000 railway workers across the United Kingdom on Saturday. According to the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers, the organizer of the industrial action, the strike will continue until September 2 if no progress is achieved in the salary dispute. The strike has dealt a heavy blow to weekend getaway services in London and surrounding cities.
