South Africa hosted the 15th BRICS Summit on August 22-24, during which leaders of the BRICS countries agreed to invite six new members – Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates – to join the group.
In this episode, people from South Africa, China and the United States expressed their expectations and suggestions for BRICS. Enhancing the global influence of BRICS and advancing its role in promoting development, upholding multilateralism and improving global governance are key expectations.
