Because of its fast-growing economy and young population, India has become an increasingly important market and popular destination for global business and investment. However, foreign businesses exiting India have outnumbered those entering over the past few years. Why have so many foreign companies shut down business in India? For multinational corporations operating in India, how can they benefit from the Indian market while minimizing the risks of being penalized by the local government?
