U.S. special envoy for Climate John Kerry has just concluded his four-day visit to China. Kerry met with senior Chinese officials over the past few days to discuss how the U.S. and China could improve cooperation to address climate change. How much progress has been made during the long hours of discussion? Can the two sides manage to cooperate amidst the current chilly China-U.S. relations? And what can the world’s two largest economies contribute to tacking this challenge to mankind? To discuss these issues and more, we are joined by Ma Jun, director with the Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs, Joel Ruet, chairman of The Bridge Tank, a member of the Task Force on Climate Change & Finance in the G20, and Brandon Andrews, former Hill staffer and entrepreneur.
