A recent study has drawn attention to years of steady economic decline in Europe, which is now manifesting in noticeable ways: Europeans are becoming poorer. What are the driving factors behind Europe's economic decline? How are EU states coping with their economic hardships as individual countries and also as a bloc? Additionally, are the Europeans able to arrest the downward trend of poverty? To help us answer these questions, we are joined by Renaud Foucart, senior lecturer in economics at Lancaster University, Kay Neufeld, head of forecasting and thought leadership at the Centre for Economics and Business Research, and Prof. Iain Begg from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
