New Chinese ambassador to the United States Xie Feng has arrived in the U.S. this week to assume office, filling the position after months of vacancy. And U.S. President Biden suggested a “thaw very shortly” in terms of engagement with China. At the same time, China investigated and imposed bans on U.S. semiconductor company Micron Technology. Are the relations to improve any time soon? Will the two countries be able to resolve their thorny issues so to help stabilize the most critical relationship in the world?
