As the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has escalated, most Germans are opposed to the U.S. and Western countries providing more weapons to Ukraine, said Andrej Hunko, a German parliament member, on Saturday. On Saturday, crowds of German citizens rallied in Dusseldorf, the capital city of North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous state of Germany, to denounce Western countries for supplying Ukraine with weapons.
