The lynx is a bit too cruel for the reindeer. It often catches it and then abandons it to hunt another one. However, the Ewenki people believe that to be part of the ecological balance. In traditional Ewenki culture, shamans are regarded as sages with rich knowledge of nature. They believe in Shamanism, which worships Mother Nature and believes in animism. Nature offers the Ewenki everything they need for life, and teaches them to forever be in awe.

About 'Journeys in Nature': The Ewenki Series

The Ewenki, considered the last tribe of hunter-gathers in China, is the only ethnic group in the country that raises reindeer. Scattered in untraversed grasslands and forests, these people are rarely exposed to the wider world. Laying down the shotguns they used to hunt with, the Ewenki people no longer live a nomadic life like their ancestors. The pace of the times has quietly altered many customs, but their relationship with nature has not changed.
