Chinese Premier Li Qiang met visiting U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo in Beijing. Premier Li said he hopes both nations can take practical measures to stablize and develop bilateral relations. He also said the economic and trade exchanges between the two sides are mutually beneficial in essence. He added that Beijing is ready to pursue further dialogue and cooperation with Washington in trade. Raimondo said the U.S. has no intention to contain China and is not seeking a decoupling. She also expressed a willingness to continue talks with China and said the U.S. is ready to deepen bilateral cooperation in artificial intelligence, climate change and fentanyl-related issues.
